Tailored care for young people when they are most in need

At Holden Knight Care, we provide high-intensity, short- and long-term placements for young people when they are most in need. Our homes are designed for children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Our homes are suited to those who may have experienced multiple changes to where they live, are learning how to keep themselves safe or are returning to their community following a period of secure care.

Individual placements with two supporting adults: Each home supports one young person at a time, offering individualised care and consistency from a skilled, therapeutic team.

Therapeutic, trauma-informed practice: All are trained in our bespoke Therapeutic Model, drawing on the most up to date evidence base for working with young people who have experienced adversity, our therapeutic approach is sequential, developmentally informed and relationship led.

Stability, structure, and planning: We recognise that the first step for any young person is feeling safe. To support this we promote consistency, predictability and routine to create safety and begin the process of long-term planning.

Multi-agency collaboration: Support is co-ordinated with placing authorities, schools, CAMHS, social workers, and other professionals to ensure integrated care and scaffolded support around the young person.

Support for progression: Young people are supported to rebuild trust, re-engage with education, and, where appropriate, transition into longer-term family or residential settings.
