Giving young people a home away from home

Working with local authorities to provide short to long-term single occupancy homes, designed and tailored to children/young people in crisis.

Working with councils to support young people

At Holden Knight Healthcare, we work with local councils to support young individuals in need with looked-after care. Our primary goal is to deliver high-quality, tailored placements - whether short or long-term - depending on each child's unique situation.

We offer individual therapeutic care, that is personalised to children who have experienced significant challenges such as multiple placement disruptions, with a particular focus on young people who may need 2:1 support. We aim to support these young individuals through difficult times and help them rebuild trust and stability in their lives.

Delivering personalised and person-centred care

All our homes are single occupancy, offering a 2:1 care ratio of experienced professionals. These professionals provide children and young people with much-needed support and respite. We assemble a multi-agency team to assess the next steps to support them back into the community.

Our Homes

We have three homes that are Ofsted registered with a further two pending registration, located within the Manchester and Whitworth areas.

These homes are equipped with teams to manage crisis intervention, that hold the ethos of a safe, holistic and supportive environment that encourages young people to thrive. This includes homes that are single occupancy offering a 2:1 care ratio of professionals.

A multi agency approach is used to support the young person with progression into their potential, delivering personalised and person-centred care.

Our teams follow the PACE and trauma-informed training styles to best support young people with their needs, with each young person matched to a home where the expertise of the team can meet the needs of the individual.

Helping young individuals reach their full potential

Our trained staff provide young people with a safe, stable, and caring environment. An environment that promotes their wellbeing and health and empowers them to achieve their best.
We do this by matching our young people to our homes that offer a therapeutic, trauma informed nurturing place in which they can excel.

  • 1

Once settled, the young person will be involved in their own care planning to achieve the objectives set out in their care plan.

  • 2

Young people are encouraged to join into their personal education plans to encourage them to achieve their education desires.

  • 3

The individuals are supported to take part in a range of activities both local and further afield, to gain knowledge of positive risk-taking whilst experiencing a ray of activities.

We support every child we care for to build their health, wellbeing, and confidence to enable them to reach their full potential.
